Insa Announces Partnership with Veterans Alternative Healing, Inc. to Provide Medical Cannabis Access to Disabled Veterans
EASTHAMPTON, MA – February 20, 2019 – Insa, Inc., a Massachusetts cannabis operator with a medical dispensary located in Springfield, MA in addition to its Easthampton, MA headquarters which includes a medical &adult-use dispensary, has announced today that the organization is partnering with Veterans Alternative Healing, Inc. (VAH) as a partner of VAH’s Veteran Care Program. The program expands access to veterans that have been rated as “permanently 100%” disabled by the VA by offering 40% off all medical cannabis purchases.
“It’s humbling to have an opportunity to help those who have sacrificed so much for our country,” said Insa CEO Mark Zatyrka. “As more and more research is performed, we are seeing some of the benefits medical cannabis has in treating the symptoms of the debilitating conditions themselves. Cannabis has very real potential to improve the quality of life for our American veterans.”
Veterans Alternative Healing has been at the forefront of the fight for utilizing medical cannabis as treatment for those with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and other ailments incurred on the battlefield. The Massachusetts-based veterans’ advocacy group provides - in addition to access to and information about medical cannabis - access to mindfulness therapy, sensory deprivation float therapy and more.
“Veterans Alternative Healing Inc., is proud to have Insa adopt and offer the Veteran Care Program that gives easier access to the roughly 1,200 disabled veterans of Hampden and Hampshire counties that have a 100% Service-Connected Disability rating from the Department of Veterans Affairs, as well as the other disabled veterans with that rating that travel to western Massachusetts from across the state,” VAH founder Stephen J. Mandile, a veteran himself, said. “This makes it less burdensome on those veterans who rely on cannabis to heal with less of, or without, opioids and other toxic medications.”
To qualify for the Veteran Care Program, veterans will need to be a registered patient with the Massachusetts Medical Use of Cannabis program, and they will need to verify their SC status. For more information, please visit the Veteran Care Program page at vahinc.com/cannabis-vcp.
